The project Wandering Stones develops further project Heads, which was realized in the year 2006 as memorial of nuclear accident in Chernobyl.

During work on Head project and during discussions, which accompanied the work, it became apparent that the project has overcome original intention and bears much more meanings. From memorial of concrete tragedy changed to more general expressing of crisis of contemporary society. Development of original idea inspired authors to present sculpture as a specific contemporary memento mori.

Target of project Wandering Stones is to remind of the Chernobyl accident, and to show also one of dead ends of modern society - the use of nuclear energy, not respecting individual opinions and suppressing possibilities to take a part in decisions about important life qualities and risks.

The memorial to 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster consists of a square made of 98 cobblestones with a relief of human faces. This set will be placed in the Ukraine and is projects symbolic epicentre. From this point are other Wandering Stones spreading all over the world.

Wandering Stones are messengers breaking everyday stereotypes, reminding, that mankind is not unlimited governor of the world.

Wandering Stones consist of a set of a variable amount of stones. The dimensions of granite stones are approximately 12 x 22 x 10 centimetres. They are to be used as a normal cobble stones as single piece or in different formations according to local conditions.

Whole project is documented and published on internet.
